Peter is a Social Worker and Ph.D. student in the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. His research focus is on understanding the organizational structures, policies and procedures of ‘thriving’ interdisciplinary health care organizations – that is, those with atypically low rates of provider burnout – with an eye towards dissemination. He has practiced as an individual and group psychotherapist and social worker in both private practice and primary care settings, both as a generalist and as a specialist focused on chronic pain and post-injury psychological recovery. Peter is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Sciences and has been an invited workshop leader and trainer in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) across Ontario. Peter also holds a Master of Science, focusing on MRI-based methods for neurotransmitter quantification, and has thrice been awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
